Helen is an LA-based content creator who uses her platform to inspire others through her style and by bringing awareness to issues regarding mental health, well-being, and productivity. Outside of her creative work, she works as an HR researcher for a technology company while simultaneously finishing her doctorate degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology.
Tiffany Koo is a feature/TV production manager currently based in Los Angeles, California. She has a passion for the art of storytelling, and she skillfully contributes to the creation of captivating narratives and bringing characters to life on screen.
Q: How has living in Los Angeles fostered your career?
Helen - "I didn't grow up in LA, but I find myself gravitating toward this city because of the creative energy and the people that this place brings together. Despite my day job being very quant-focused, being in LA encourages me to renew my creative capacity and explore avenues and hobbies that may have previously felt too daunting to pursue. In many ways, the city and its creative community have made me feel accepted for my quirks and contributed to a sense of balance in other domains of my life."
Tiffany - "This city has served as the perfect backdrop for me to pursue my lifelong aspirations in the film and television industry. Through the vibrant and dynamic atmosphere of Los Angeles, I have been able to immerse myself in the industry, network with like-minded professionals, and stay at the forefront of emerging trends and advancements."
Q: What inspires you about each other?
Helen - "I have known Tiffany for about 10 years now, and something I love about our friendship is that the essence of it has remained very much the same over time. Despite the changes we have both experienced in the past decade, with me constantly moving from state to state, the dynamic of our relationship has not changed. There is a sense of goofiness and lightness in the way we interact that brings out the inner child in both of us, and it is what makes our friendship so special. Her ability to deeply care for others (myself included) is truly inspiring, and I will always appreciate her unwavering support for all my decisions, even if some might be questionable."
Tiffany - "Helen and I share a remarkable friendship that has flourished over the course of nearly a decade. She constantly reminds me that life is not solely defined by our professional endeavors, but rather by the richness and diversity of experiences we cultivate. Her ability to find joy in the simplest of moments and to seize opportunities for adventure has always inspired me and broadened my perspective. I am grateful for the countless unconventional adventures we shared as friends and each experience has not only created cherished memories, but they have also served as a catalyst for my personal growth."
