Rabôt Female Portrait Series. Meet Elena and Verónica
We’re celebrating female creatives based in Los Angeles who are inspiring to us at RABÔT.
Meet Elena Petrossian and Verónica Glez of @ananas____ananas.
Elena is wearing our Sunne Dress and Verónica is wearing our Blu Halter, Paradisi Skirt and Divina Gloves.
Ananas Ananas is a food-art studio founded by Verónica González and Elena Petrossian. Their work focuses on creating edible installations and dining experiences that encourage their audience to interact with food in a multi-sensory and experimental way. These experiences are intentionally temporary, meant to be enjoyed mindfully and to facilitate intimately present moments.
The art studio is deeply committed to rethinking food production systems and highlighting real, meaningful actions against food waste. While deconstructing the fine dining space, the duo seeks to connect and immerse the audience on individual and collective level in the food they eat. Since 2019, they have creative directed dining experiences and installations for artistic and commercial purposes.
Q: What inspires you about each other?
Elena - "I’m inspired by how hard Verónica works and no matter the circumstance will get shit done without complaint, even if I’m complaining. Im uplifted by her because she has taught me patience and not to freak out if we hit a roadblock, that everything always works out because we have to trust ourselves and each other. I think that’s the most difficult part of a partnership, to let go and trust the other, but I’m grateful to have Verónica as the other half of Ananas Ananas because she’s made that easy."
Verónica - "The admiration I have for Elena is the reason why i never questioned to stop doing Ananas Ananas since day one. She constantly teaches me certainty about sharing what you believe in and not being afraid of putting yourself out there while growing up your business. She makes all this sound like a dream and it’s been like that so far."
